Client: Company in the renewable energy sector.
Location: Northeast Region – Brazil.
Equipment: Power transformer.
Service Performed: Redesign and repair of power transformers for wind farms and solar photovoltaic plants.
Challenge:
The largest company in the segment of electric energy from renewable sources in Brazil has contacted DATA ENGINEERING due to a problem of gas generation in its transformers, responsible for the energy supply in its wind farms and solar plants distributed in the Northeast of the country. Promptly, DATA’s technical team provided the client with consulting services to understand and analyze the causes of the equipment failures.
Solution:
After a detailed analysis of the equipment, DATA ENGINEERING was able to identify the gas generation problem and performed a reengineering service and redesign of the active part of the transformers. After the tests were performed, the problem was solved, and with this solution we were able to significantly reduce the impacts for the client. Since then, DATA has repaired more than 12 transformers for the company and there are currently 5 more in the repair phase.
